healthcare email encryption and secure email></p>

Why can't I use my regular desktop email encryption to send secure emails?

Your desktop email requires each account to have its own certificate.  The certificate, based on a public key system, would allow you to send encrypted emails.  However, in order for the recipient to decrypt your message, they would have to have their own certificate and access to your private key.  If you want to send encrypted email to those in your address book, everyone in your address book would have to have their own certificate, an individual key, and access to  your key.  Obviously this requires a great deal of management and expense for the non-enterprise user(s).

What is IBE and why is it so revolutionary?

IBE is a breakthrough invention that enables secure anytime, anywhere communication.  Its beauty lies in its simplicity.  Unlike PKI, IBE uses common identity such as e-mail addresses or IM screen names as the public key.  As a result, IBE reduces the complexity and high total cost of ownership associated with PKI -- e.g. the cost of certificates, Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs) and the lifecycle management of certificates. IBE also removes the need for pre-enrollment, thereby lowering the barrier of widespread adoption of secure communication.

What is the pricing for the email service?

No more than $15 per month per email address, discounts are available for multiple . The price is less than one over-night package. We offer special discounts to associations and professional groups. There are no contracts. All major credit cards are accepted. Simple and secure online order process. Please contact us at sales@securenetcom.com or call +1 (770) 640 1770 for pricing questions.

Why is Secure Netcom's IBE email the best choice?

There is considerable demand for secure email within the non-enterprise marketplace. Alternatives are cumbersome, not secure, expensive to deploy, and anything but simple for the non-enterprise organization. Regulated industries, such as healthcare, financial services, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and government agencies are required to adhere to the regulations no matter the size of the organization. Secure Netcom provides the same solution used by large enterprises, but we've designed it for the non-enterprise user.

IBE is a newer security technology; how can I be sure it’s secure?

IBE has undergone a great deal of peer review since it was first published in 2001. IBE security relies on the bilinear Diffie-Hellman assumption, which is closely related to the well known Diffie-Hellman assumption. In the current Voltage Security platform, their key strength is equivalent to 1024-bit RSA, and it can be easily upgraded to larger key sizes.

Is IBE a modified form of PKI?

No, IBE is a breakthrough technology that removes longstanding hurdles associated with PKI. Like PKI, IBE uses a public/private key pairing. Unlike PKI, IBE uses a well-known identity, such as an email address or phone number as the public key, thus radically reducing complexity of the system.

How am I protected against identity theft, or spoofing of my email address?

Secure Netcom leverages the Voltage Security platform and has developed existing authentication mechanisms to verify users' identities. The control over the issuance of users' keys is the same as the enterprise system by elevating the level of trust of secure communications. As always, however, technology is not a substitute for best practices; organizations need to ensure that they have reliable email addresses that map to personnel.
