Your privacy is important, so Secure Netcom, LLC (Secure Netcom) has created this Privacy Policy to let you know what information we collect when you visit the Secure Netcom website (“Site”), why we collect it and how it is used.  Our Terms of Use governs this Privacy Policy.  By using this Site, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use.  We may periodically make changes to this Privacy Policy that we will include on this page.  It is your responsibility to review this Privacy Policy frequently and remain informed about any changes to it, so we encourage you to visit this page often.

What Information Is Collected.

At times we may request that you voluntarily supply Secure Netcom with personal information.  Such personal information includes any information that may be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to, a first and last name, home or other physical address, an email address, phone number or other contact information, whether at work or at home.  Generally this information is requested when you register on the Site or when you provide information in connection with an online transaction. 

We will ask you to provide your personal information to us when you enroll for a monthly license to the secure email encryption product.  When you enroll to download the software and purchase a monthly license to the secure email encryption services at Secure Netcom, we will ask you to provide information including, but not limited to, a first and last name, home or other physical address, an email address, phone number or other contact information, whether at work or at home.  This information will be provided to the company when you purchase a monthly license so we can establish you as a key-holder of the encryption services.  We will maintain a record of your information at the offices of Secure Netcom so we can provide you with email encryption service. The employees of Secure Netcom are each required to sign and acknowledge a Confidentiality And Nondisclosure Agreement. Each employee has been instructed on maintaining the privacy of each customer and the importance of protecting the customer's personal information.

When you enroll to download the software and purchase a license from Secure Netcom, you will pay with your credit card. Your credit card information will be used to draft automatic monthly payments and an electronic bill will be sent after each draft. A transaction receipt will be provided to you prior to downloading the software. You may use this transaction receipt as a reference to the credit card purchase. We will maintain a record of your credit card information and it will only be used for the expressed purposes of continued monthly payment for services. If you pay the premium using a check, we will keep a copy of your check in your file.

When you send us e-mail from this Web site, you will provide us with certain personally identifiable information including your e-mail address.

Secure Netcom, the service providers for it, and all vendors providing products or services through our Site use your personal information to operate our Site and/or effect your transactions; to create and share reports about your transactions among themselves; and to perform credit fraud screening services for transactions between you and Secure Netcom and/or others.

Secure Netcom also automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, cookie information and the page you request.  We intend to continue improving the content and function of our Site and we monitor customer traffic patterns and site usage to help Secure Netcom improve the design and layout of our Site and provide content of interest to you.

Information Shared or Disclosed.

Secure Netcom may store and disclose personal information as allowed or required by applicable law, including making disclosures that are necessary or advisable to: (a) protect the rights, safety or property of users of our Site, the public, Secure Netcom or our suppliers; and (b) conform to legal or regulatory requirements.  If Secure Netcom should ever file for bankruptcy or merge with another company, we may sell the information you provide to Secure Netcom on this Site to a third party or share your personally information with any company with whom we merge.

Under certain circumstances, Secure Netcom may choose to trade, sell or rent your personal information with trustworthy third parties.  Users who would rather not provide any of the user data requested by our registration process do not need to register with Secure Netcom. You can still view much of the content and use some of the services offered by our Site without registering.  You have the option of opting not to receive our electronic newsletters when registering.  If you have already opted-in, you may remove yourself from mailing lists at any time through the subscription management pages or by following the instructions at the end of the e-mails you receive from Secure Netcom.  You may also opt not to provide certain personal information when registering on the Site.

Also, Secure Netcom may provide aggregate statistics about our customers, sales, traffic patterns, and related site information to reputable third-party vendors, but these statistics will not include any personally identifying information.

The Security of Your Information

Wherever your personal information may be held by Secure Netcom or on our behalf, Secure Netcom intends to take reasonable and appropriate steps to protect the personal information that you share with Secure Netcom from unauthorized access or disclosure.

International Transfers

Personal information collected on this Site may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in which Secure Netcom or its affiliates, subsidiaries or agents maintain facilities, and by using this Site, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country.

Children/Minors

This Site is not intended for or directed to persons under the age of 18.  Secure Netcom does not sell products for purchase by children.  Any person who provides their information to Secure Netcom through the registration page for new users or any other part of the Site represents to Secure Netcom that they are 18 years of age or older.

Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data that is stored on a visitor's hard drive while they are visiting this Web site. We may utilize a short-lived form of cookie when you visit this site. At Secure Netcom, a cookie is only used to identify one unique visitor from another visitor during a particular session. A session is the period of active site-use while that unique visitor is linked to our server. We may use cookie technology during a session as a tool to carry forward your input information during the enrollment process. This enables the visitor to input their information once and have the information appear later during the enrollment process. No personally identifiable information is stored on the cookie. The cookie expires and is deleted from the visitor's computer as soon as they close their browser or if they are not actively browsing our Web site for more than 20 minutes. Should a previous visitor to our Web site return for a new session, they will be issued a new cookie and in no way will they be recognized as a visitor from a previous visit or session.

This Web site may contain links to third party Web sites that are not controlled by Secure Netcom. These third party links are made available to you as a convenience and you agree to use these links at your own risk. Please be aware that Secure Netcom is not responsible for the content of third party Web sites linked to Secure Netcom or are we responsible for the privacy policy or practices of third party Web sites linked to Secure Netcom. Our Privacy Policy only applies to information we collect from you while you are at and while you are actively in a session with Secure Netcom. If you should link to a third party Web site from Secure Netcom, we strongly encourage you to review and become familiar with that Web site's privacy policy.
